Yep, I have seen what appears to be more. Every female old enough to breed is preggars, with two or three more about 9-10 months apart. Of course we have a chicken processing plant here....so gotta ready the future workforce.

I have noticed less around here. But I think that it is because the cops around here are taking more courses on how to handle them and are learning Spanish so that the illegals can't pull the "no speake English routine".

Depends on how I define "your area" my home town, the Home Depot seems to have lost it's crowds. The next nearer has picked up and a few others have picked up.

It appears to correlate to where the homeowners seem to go and then get guys to help on a small job basis, more guys doing there own work need more helpers. the one where the contractors used to get crews has dropped way off.

Ohio has plenty of them. I expect the amount to increase with Obama in office and Janet Napolitano opening up our southern border some more. Dems have to help pad the vote in 2012.

Plenty of them here, seem to be more then usual out and about during the day, I am guessing due to a lack of work. They are getting bolder/more desperate as the economy goes south, crowding the day labor corners and jumping out in front of anything that looks like a work truck, trying to flag them down. I almost flattened one with my van the other day on the way to work.

Another "hive" of them has sprung up down the street from my house. 3 bedroom rental house, 20 cars parked in the driveway/grass/street. Circus music blaring 24/7, cop cars once a week or more. I now have 3 hives on my street, time to buy more mags.

I'm in a coastal town and I have noticed less hispanic workers compared to the last several boom yrs. They are still here but I don't see the large crews like I did when real estate was going off.

And many are returning to Mexico. This does go to show how even the most minimal effort on the part of George W. Bush would have made a huge impact.

OBERLIN, Ohio - -
Officials in Oberlin are considering a proposal to allow illegal immigrants to seek help from police or fire departments without fear of being turned over to federal
agents.

Critics say making the college town an immigrant sanctuary undermines the work of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security.

If the measure passes, Oberlin would join about 30 other cities that prohibit local officials from assisting immigration agents.

City Manager Eric Norenberg says under the proposal, the city's police force would not assist immigration agents unless ordered to do so, possibly by a court.
