The obvious solution is to ban flat screens! |
what's the best round for flat screen TV thieves?
apparently it's not 9mm... |
Dont wanna die? Dont take things that arent yours. Simple as that. |
god bless TX! |

yes but the rug will never be the same and the rug really tied the room together. |
Did you catch the part where the homeowner said the guy "came at him"? |
evidently, spanish isn't your first language either! |
I work too hard for my stuff to have some scroat steal it. Plus a man's home is his castle don't go into someone's home.. |
+1, and FUCK those gutless wonders who should disagree. |
Paging O_P for the Flat Panel Screen O' Truth thread. |
For the record I don't really believe that I was just mocking post number 2 in the thread.

This happened in my stomping grounds. Lived in and around that area most of my life. Unfortunately, there are some bad areas adjacent to these areas, but for the most part it's a pretty decent place to live [if you have to live in Dallas proper, that is]. It ain't the 'burbs though.
Good on him for nailing this POS. |
Another (can't get the link to work) it's on this page 8th one down right now Home Invasion Shooting in Texas
I catch you in my house in the middle of the night and I'll shoot you for stealing the remote control. |
It'd make for a great conversation piece... |
If I read it right he shot the bd for attacking him, he said the guy came at him. |
Texas. After dark. INSIDE the home. No bill. |
The only part that matters is "HOMEOWNER SHOOTS & KILLS BURGLAR", what the guy was there to steal is of no consequence.
No offense (maybe a little offense) did you read the story? The guy attacked the home owner |
Your own life and family aren't covered by insurance. When someone breaks into your home, it is a reasonable assumption those things are at risk. |
Yup. My state has a castle doctrine, too. |
Even my wife laughs at that commercial. She said the intruder would be shot on sight by her! |
Exactamundo Ringo. Now, my question is do you follow the age old rule of "Say nothing to the cops, let your lawyer do the talking" or do you tell the cop "he came at me and I feared for my life" etc? If you automatically lawyer up you are putting yourself in a better position as you are not likely to say something incorrect since the blood and adrenaline is pumping, but you look suspicious to the cop. Of course all cases are not as cut and dry as this one. |

It's is just different down here...... Plus as you and I know these threads always turn into a match between people who think shooting people for stealing is ok [like me] and people who think it isn't worth taking a life over insured property [like you]. |
Killed the hell out of that ole boy, didn't it? |
We shouldn't have to pay higher home owners insurance rates when instead we can blast the criminals stealing in the first place. I like lower rates and more dead bad guys. |
I would shoot a bd in my home at o'dark thirty no question,. I would not shoot a bd stealing a bike from the shed. The difference being the home invader has the balls to enter a live dwelling and is probably willing to kill if caught. The second pos thief is a coward and probably will not try and kill some homeowner. Either way, inside home they are deaded , out side , not so much LOL |

Don't forget to hide behind your wife while you wait. |
Who pays to have all that blood on the carpeting cleaned up?
yep thats what the civil law suit will say, he was just mis-understood! |
He was comin' right at me! |
Exactly, how could anyone possibly tell the difference???!!!!!!!! Legal shoot. |
