In one of those pics if that octagon barrel .22 was a Winchester it would be worth about 8-10K

If the story that a few AK's made it into the buy back it will be enough for the city to promote the program as a success. Which I guess would be a good thing since they will have some more and we can all profit . I will definitely be there for the next one with cash in hand. I was surprised but happy to see the Santa Fe police departments reaction to the whole thing. I couldn't believe they actually sent people to your table. Must have been a few pro gun guys in that group. After seeing how willingly people give away perfectly good firearms in return for a damn gift card I am seriously thinking about placing an add in the paper. Will pay cash for unwanted guns see what rolls in and profit

It was actually a POS .22 that my buddy bought that doesn't lock up properly. So we will probably be turning it back in at the next one for $150. We plan on taking all the guns down to the police station to run the numbers to make sure none are stolen as well. Oh Jeez. That proves nothing. Not being in the "stolen" database definitively indicates nothing. Folklore. Uummm... Sounds like great idea to me... Not reported stolen = OP has a new gun.. Reported stolen = Original owner has a chance of getting his gun back.. I would say that is a win win... YMMV |
