Cohasset Police Department, Cohasset MA · April 14 at 4:57pm · PRESS RELEASE: Cohasset Police detectives executed a search warrant on Doane Street at approximately 2pm today. The search warrant was issued by a Clerk Magistrate of the Quincy District Court after police received a credible report that the occupant of 50 Doane Street had numerous unsecured rifles and shotguns strewn about his house. While officers were conducting the search, they located more than 2-dozen unsecured long guns and 5-large military grade ordinance shells. When the military shells were found, officers backed out of the home and notified the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad. Members of the bomb squad arrived, assessed the shells, notified the United States Navy, and requested that they respond to take custody of the items. It is not known if the shells are live or not. The occupant of the home is a 65-year old male who lives alone. Detectives are still interviewing him and no charges have been filed at this point. The man does have a license to possess riffles and shotguns, which was revoked by the Cohasset Police Chief today. All of his weapons have been seized. This case remains under investigation by the Cohasset Police. View Quote View Quote |

What does "unsecured rifles and shotguns" mean here? Is there a law in Mass ordering gun owners to lock up their guns? View Quote Attached File "But I saw all the scary rifles LAYING AROUND and HAD to do muh civic duty!!" |

Officer looks like he's deciding which guns are going to suddenly become "unaccounted for".

Oh yes. Big time. Firearms and ammo stored separately as well. View Quote "We must also address the District’s requirement (as applied to respondent’s handgun) that firearms in the home be rendered and kept inoperable at all times. This makes it impossible for citizens to use them for the core lawful purpose of self-defense and is hence unconstitutional. The District argues that we should interpret this element of the statute to contain an exception for self-defense. See Brief for Petitioners 56–57. But we think that is precluded by the unequivocal text, and by the presence of certain other enumerated exceptions: “Except for law enforcement personnel … , each registrant shall keep any firearm in his possession unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock or similar device unless such firearm is kept at his place of business, or while being used for lawful recreational purposes within the District of Columbia.” D. C. Code §7–2507.02. The nonexistence of a self-defense exception is also suggested by the D. C. Court of Appeals’ statement that the statute forbids residents to use firearms to stop intruders, see McIntosh v. Washington, 395 A. 2d 744, 755–756 (1978).28" |

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

What's the date on that law? I suspect Heller would invalidate it. Search and the confiscation was a violation of the (recently) incorporated constitutional jurisprudence. 2. Whoever authorized and executed the warrant violated their oaths as police officers. 3. Firearm collection was most likely damaged in the way it the items were transported. I see the taxpayers writing a hefty check for the agency's fuck up on this one. |

I have said it before and I will say it again, fuck the Northeast. A beautiful part of the country that is ruined by large cities dictating how those in the country should live.

I spent about an hour yesterday giving the state police the make, model and serial numbers of all My handguns.

Those fuckers just took down the ability to post pictures, they must not have liked the memes I posted

This is a perfect case of how confiscation will eventually come to every state. Somebody will dime you out. Not door to door.
Don't store all your eggs in one basket, either. |

So his license was revoked, and because he had a license they knew he had guns, so they went and took them? Thats a perfect example of everything wrong with licensing and registration.

Fuck every one of those oath breaking "I'm just following orders" assholes.

Keep fighting the good fight there officer fatshit. Thank you for your service View Quote Remember, in Massachusetts, in order to become a sworn police officer, you must first meet the very stringent requirement of having your Dad, Uncle, or Brother In Law be a high ranking officer of the department in the city or town you are applying for. These are ELITE of nepotism we are talking here! |

Had a bunch of feral hogs come through my yard last night,,,tore it up pretty good,,I didn`t see if they were fat or had beards or not

Gun confiscation by the king's men in Massachusetts is how this country got started.

Wrong on so many levels. Whoever posted the Officer Fatty comment made me laugh though. If I had a facebook account I would post the instructions.
1) post again 2) take a screenshot 3) wait for them to delete your comment 4) submit a notarized FOIA request for comments, including yours 5) sue the ever-loving shit out of them for destroying public records |

The scratches and dings on them from piling them up like that alone would make me livid.

I'll be mailing these traitors a picture of my balls since it's obvious none of them have any.
Thankfully my boss has stated, on record, he would use the agency MRAP to defend the gunowners should it ever come to that. |
