Sorry to hear about your troubles. There is no way in hell any dealer is going to give you 450 back for that, I think you'd be lucky to get 200 for it from a dealer. Perhaps it would be best to do a private sale.

I just traded one a while back cause I couldnt turn down a S&W 640 for $270. Then an old man sold me a brand new 500 20 ga with Choate stock and sling for $100. One door closes......Another door opens! |

why wouldnt he buy it back for $450? does it depreciate THAT much? Its almost brand new, has all of the original stuff with it even the original packing box and has had about 20 rounds fired through it. Not to mention that the dealer is the same guy I bought it from only last month. its also been cleaned recently. would these factors make it depreciate down from $450 to $250? [>:/]

He needs to price your shotgun under the price of a new one and still make money on it. Most shops have a 20 some to 30% margin of profit. Put an ad in the local newspaper for $350 and it should move.

Here is how we do trade-ins at the gunshop where I work:
Mossberg 590- Retails for $450 We can buy them wholsale for $400 Subtract 20% off of what we can get one wholesale for=$320 We wouldn't make very much money by buying back used shotguns for a higher price than we could get one new! Balming |

have any of you did business with a pawn shop b4? Ive got it listed on the equipment exchange but noone seems to care. I just listed it in the classified ads for western NC. If i dont get interest soon then ill see what a pawn shop will give me for it. All in all I want to do it legally. I would like to have it out of my name after its sold so that if a crime is commited with it on down the line then I wont get blamed.
