Thanks for the humane replies. We ordered a Bowflex Extreme II in early Jan. Guaranteed delivery by Feb. 7. Not here yet. There may be some vast left-wing conspiracy out there that wants me dead!

Are you a fat white boy? (don't get pissed, I am too) If you are......................

You probably have what used to be called "Syndrome X" and is now called "metabolic syndrome".
It involves high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high serum lipids usually including high serum triglycerides. It will kill you if you do not do 3 things:

1. Lose weight
2. Exercise
3. Change your diet to a low fat, low glycemic index diet

If non-medicinal measures like #1, #2, #3 don't work you'll probably need to take medicines to lower your blood pressure, lower your cholesterol, lower your triglycerides, lower your blood sugar.

Not eating as much and exercising is a whole heck of a lot cheaper than taking 3-4 meds.
