Hello Everyone, Hopefully I can explain Phased Array a little more! The goal of this package is to be a short, reliable, and functional PDW that builds upon the shortcomings of peer designs. Our engineers managed to create a 3-port gas system that is timed into the groves of the rifling, as to not affect the bullet as it travels down the barrel. This helps permit the gas to expand, softening the recoil impulse. For longer barrels like the GFR and MRGG it helps the shooter watch trace. In shorter configurations like GFW it gives you a pleasant and smooth experience shooting 5.56 from an 8" barrel. Usually barrels this short are less reliable and unpleasant to shoot. We have solved that through a well tuned gas system and custom length Super 42. Reliability was our top priority! In regard to other calibers, the sky is the limit. Obviously we have announced that .300 BLK is in the works, and we should have launch dates here soon, but don't be surprised if other calibers come along. The Pistol Brace versions, the "GDP", will also be available soon. Once we have launch dates we will be happy to let you know! Make sure you also follow the GFW thread on our industry page! It is hard to show in a single picture but the three separate gas ports surround the barrel. |

So all the ports will eventually feed upwards to the gas block port. Zoom in on the barrel a bit and the milling on the barrel connects them. In your red circle is just one of the three ports. |

It is something that a video or reel could better demonstrate. It is a "phasing" system by having three separate ports feed a single block via the barrel. These moved incredibly fast, so we will talk to the project teams to see how we can continue to demonstrate our Phased Array tech and what models we may have moving forward. |

I think I understand it. 3 gas ports at equal intervals around the barrel with a channel groove cut into the barrel that allows the gas to travel back to the opening in a standard gas block. It’s very cool! Can’t wait to see where you take this! |

Quoted: @GACS Will the .812 Hbar have a 1/2x28 or a 5/8x24 muzzle thread pattern? It is a great question that I passed along to our assembly team. Due to the amount of 1/2 x 28 devices we have we believe they will be 1/2 x 28, but we will see about the standalone barrels and get some answers. For these thicker profiles as we said, 5/8 x 24 is great to have. |
