We did a bar crawl the weekend before my wedding, my nephew was down from Lejeune, and every pack of sloots that we passed by got a variation of "hey ladies, he's got BAH and Tricare!" The only people that appreciated it were a couple of guys, who were obviously vets, outside one of the bars. So just for future reference, that only works on fat townies and strung out strippers.

View Quote That one is amazing. I was stationed in Ft Polk and the LT wanted to go deer hunting. We headed out to the woods looking for deer. He planned the routes and I was going to help him learn how to hunt. I was a Specialist, I should have known better. I was also an experienced woodsman, I also knew better than to "just keep going, we'll find help". No, you are supposed to stop and wait. We ended up being 8 miles away from where he thought we were supposed to be. We found a backwoods Acadian who was out driving with his GF, her tooth, and the dogs in the back of the truck. They gave us a ride, and it was cool when he slammed on the brakes and yelled. Big rattler in the road, shoot it and grill it up! LT shot the snake, so we weren't skunked. It grilled up nice. |

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since I've seen that face. I was surprised I recognized him with my memory. RIP Sgt Miller |
