Tl;DR

Is this one of those "We'll break down your door and kill your family in 30min or less" deals?

How bout we ALSO stop taxing the bejesus out of tobacco and alcohol

Smokes are cheap here. Average shit like marbs and camels are in the $3.00 range. American Spirits are $4.50 (My go-tos back in the day). Niche high end shit is $7.00. Oral tobacco's lol cheap. It's state tobacco taxes that inflate the ass out of the price of tobacco products.
It's kind of a two way street though. Tax money supports dying smokers. Therefore I don't particularly see the problem with taxing it out of the ass. Either make them pay for their own medical bills when they get lung cancer, or let them pay for their future treatments as they're killing themselves. For what it's worth, I smoked for a couple of years, switched to E-cigs, and still enjoy an occasional cigar or pipe (once a year for both at this point), or a tin of snus if I run dry of e-liquid (once every few months on average). I don't hate habitual smokers though. It's an adult choice, but whether you smoke or not, you can't deny the real health risks associated with smoking. It's the one thing I can understand taxing respectively. There's not many other legal substances that carry the same toxicity as tobacco products consumed via combustion.

I cant argue with a thing you said .

But dammit , we dont really need to spend any tax money on a federal department . If the states tax it , then that's another matter ...another argument...but we really need to rewrite/unwrite and simplify the firearms laws and dump the BATFE . It's bloated, rotting dead weight .

IBTL.  This has been posted many many times.... and it came out on April 1st.  That's a big enough clue that even the FBI knows it's an April Fools Day prank.

It was just emailed out to the efirms registered members.

I got a Form 4 back today that had been pending for 6.5 months, much shorter than anyone has seen in about a year.  It is still too damn long but things are getting better.
