That loss at the hands of LSU is going to hurt.  Bad.
Remember how bad we beat y'all the last time we played?

Besides, I don't have high expectations for this year.  Figure loose to y'all, one of the Florida teams and to Clemson or Boston College.  Finish 9-3 and go back to the Gator bowl.

so a few weeks ago I was walking thru an airport in Des Moines

I saw a dude wearing a shirt in Michigan blue and yellow colors....

the shirt said "The BCS Swindle"

I went out my way to walk past him and give him a "Go Gators"

Are there still Michigan fans that think they should have been in that title game?

What I find interesting is all of the Big East teams in the top 25.  What the hell is going on with the ACC?  Florida State is the only other team in the top 25.

DAWG fan here. We're rebuilding. We'll be back.

Living in Louisville now, so U of L is my second choice. They did better last year than ever before. But the Falcons stole their coach. But as long as they beat the Wildcats, they are happy. They're more into B ball anyway

Speaking of Falcons, Mick Vick more than likely screwed their season (again). The Shaub trade will hurt.

And I guess College Football history isn't your strong suit either.

When the song was written 100+ years ago, Michigan was in the "Western Conference" which later became known as the "Big Ten".

Oh and M GO BLUE

Wrong. Wolverine fur trade was popular in the very northern parts of the state during the colonial period. And the state of Michigan's "state animal" is also the wolverine.

I hope so!  We need games like this one.  Playing soft out of conference teams sucks and doesn't help the team toughen up for the big conference games.

Dawg fan here but who knows about this season.. I just want to beat kentucky and vandy this year, i still cry myself to sleep thinking about those losses sometimes... A win against Florida would make me really happy but those guys have had our number for the better part of a decade now..... oh well Dawgs still lead the series with FL 46-37 games...

One thing about playing football in college: I can't believe I have any hair left on my head. Every day after practice I'd pull clumps of it out of my helmet and have to wash out the interior. Every day, mind you.

That's a lot of hair.

Dan Madaj, administrative associate at the University’s Natural History Museum said that the university teams originally called themselves the “Maroons,” and in 1869 changed the title to “Wolverines.” The wolverine exhibit in the Natural History Museum states, “The wolverine has never been the state animal, nor Michigan officially the wolverine state. The name applies exclusively to the athletic teams of the University of Michigan.”

You know, I'm pretty sure we gots alligators in Florida.  You'd have to be dumber than a box of rocks to adopt an animal from a foreign locale.

Good luck with OSU this year; kicking the shit out of the Buckeyes is growing tiresome.

From your link:

Did real wolverines ever roam the Wolverine State? Patrick Rusz of the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy says yes.... "There is lots of evidence that the wolverine was part of the local fauna,”

There is no "official state animal" of Michigan - the wolverine is the unofficial one.
