Now that winter is back, I’ve been making progress on my 1/32 Hasegawa BF-109G. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/24640/0784F286-2145-49A2-9C27-3DE5E19AD1B5_jpeg-1183161.JPG Underwing markings and Eastern Front ID (yellow) markings painted. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/24640/253E4F3D-DA32-4F9D-9EFF-6567AC0E43AF_jpeg-1183162.JPG RLM 75 applied. Yes, I applied strips of tape to remind me where NOT to paint. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/24640/69D77D78-816E-4809-A0FB-DC1B0587FE5E_jpeg-1183163.JPG RLM 74 applied and painted more markings. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/24640/00559CE6-625C-4086-9918-66391FBA0298_jpeg-1183164.JPG This where I’m at now. I was rushing and you can see a spot where the paint lifted on the side fuselage Balkenkreuz. Whoops. It’s an easy fix. I also think I need to thicken up the fuselage mottling. I’m always worried I’m going to over do it, but I think I have room to add more and add to what’s already there. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/24640/932371C4-874B-47B3-B3FE-E79C4CC9FC5E_jpeg-1183165.JPG It’ll be couple weeks before I get back to it, but I’ve order some brass gun barrels for it along with some other stuff. |

Outstanding work!
I really wish my right hand wasn't screwed up so I could get back to building... |

I just ordered 2 Revell Aces High Spitfires. I thought the markings were neat but then saw they include 2 Eddie figures and absolutely had to get a couple.

Attached File Finally got my CIA-Cubano-Congolese B-26K done. I figured these were so recently refurbished before going there that just some subtle color modulation is all they should have. I’m using the spare kit decals to make an ancient Heller T-28 one of its compatriots. |

My old reliable Guangzhou special airbrush finally gave up,the coupler fitting sheered off So,treated myself to a Made in the USA Badger and giving it a test run on a Monogram F-5. My crank the pressure and hose it technique is going to need some fine tuning.

Lately I've been doing details... little stuff, oddball stuff.
At the suggestion of DoubleARon, I added a flange lubricator, which is a box of grease that pumps grease on the rails for tight turns. The real thing: Attached File My model work: Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I've finally gotten around to adding details to the locomotive service facility.
Sanding tower. Constructed from pewter castings and brass pieces soldered together. Attached File Diesel fuel columns. Attached File Water column. Attached File Yard lights. They don't light up now, but do have LEDs in them. I'll power them later. Attached File Attached File See the white pickup with toolboxes in the background? I have some acetylene and oxy bottles in the back now. Soon to arrive, a welding machine. This will be the "lead welder's" new truck. He tore up the last one chasing down a train. |

Lubricants and pallets.
Attached File MU cable racks, washup hose. Attached File The wash up hose is made from orange decoder wire with three coats of brown "wash" slathered over it to darken and dirty it up some. I need to get some fire extinguishers around here and there, ordered, not yet arrived. They are metal castings which I will have to paint, like these other detail pieces. Also one of those big foam type fire extinguishers on wheels like you see at small airports, heliports, etc. And this welding gas cart is parked over by the door on the carknocker's shed. Crimson Skies is one of my favorite computer games. It's about Sky Pirates in an alternate pre WWII period. Zepplins are the new aircraft carriers, and there are all kinds of crazy airplane designs.
