When it comes to the constitution he actually gets it. He's probably the closest thing we've seen to Reagan since, well Ronal Reagan.
He needs to tone down the religion though. That's too much of a put off to too many voters now a days. I think he would make the best president of all those running. |

I've been hearing a lot of buzz about Cruz getting ready to start climbing in the polls. It's goog not to peak too early as Trump and Carson are doing. Only rarely does the guy ahead in the fall last the winter and win the primaries. We have a good field and there will be lots of movement away from the summer fad. |

Meh, they have been talking that "peaking early" thing for months now and they are only getting stronger. The only thing Cruz has going for him now is his money and his policy views. He is great on policy but he is the most personally unlikeable hopeful by far in the field and money/time won't change that. Sadly likeability plays just the same as policy these days. He's hugely unpopular with women as they consider him "creepy". Folks won't elect a asshole and Cruz has certainly exceeded every expectation for being more than a bit of a asshole. A effective POTUS has to work with everyone (or at least make them think they were worked with) and I don't see that quality in Cruz. If push came to shove I'd vote for him but I'd not donate to him. |
