Slingshot 1911? So you can pelt your enemies with ammo when you file down the firing pin?
|
|
Really they should find out whose gun that is. Since they probably took the picture it is their intellectual property and thus the paper can be sued for damages

Well it does have two triggers. Christ, I can't believe people that stupid are allowed to run newspapers. Or operate cars. I'm not going to defend anyone there, but this is a graphics thing. Someone in graphics was probably given an assignment to get a picture of a gun. A quick search on google turned up a 1911, but it's facing the wrong way. They reverse it so it goes to the right. Then they shop in some "bullets" to give a firing effect. Throw in a trigger because said graphics person is a dumbass and then no one thinks about it the rest of the night. It gets slapped on the page and no one pays attention to it. The editors are not going to take the time to check and make sure the gun graphic is "correct" before the paper runs. This is a failure on the part of the artist. Don't throw the management under the bus on this one. If they added 4 tires to a car that already had 4 would the editor have changed it? |

More people have knowledge of the fundamentals of automobile operation that firearms operation. It's obvious the GA and the editor can only claim knowledge gleaned from either the Hollywood School of Firearms - Off Campus Branch or Brady University. |

Kansas is a red state. When looking at the voting results that county "Douglas", Wyandotte, and Pitsburgh or Fort Scott this election are little tiny blue counties in a BIG red state. These guys in Lawrence are cockgobbling fools and by no means represent the ideals, morals and political will of the people of Kansas. Exactly! I'm ashamed of KU - always have been - this image does not surprise me at all. Lawrence is a nice town, but whacked out on liberal views.. That's why I'm a K-state Grad! |

Lmao. Its really more common than you know. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Yep. I was wondering when the subject was going to come up on ARFCOM. I've seen it I don't know how many times on TV shows and movies. The imagery during the credit's of "Tropic Thunder" is the only one I can think of right now. |

Wasn't there a pic in the news just a few days ago about some Iraqis who went to the media to complain that US forces shot at their house? And they had the "bullets" (complete cartridges) that hit their house That was a Yahoo! News pic from at least 2003/2004... http://i27.tinypic.com/s16crm.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2sAFHBptJE |

That's just a college paper.
When Hinckley shot Reagan, one of the major national mags (Time? Newsweek?) had an article about the "Special Exploding Bullets" Hinckley used, complete with graphics showing the complete cartridge coming out of the barrel, and then exploding like a stick of dynamite. They did not illustrate a mushroom cloud, however. |

reminds me of seeing this (bullet) in the past... http://gallery.sendbad.net/data/media/62/Naked%20Gun%2033.jpg LOL That reminds me of the old Fearless Fosdick cartoons. He was always getting riddled with bullets. |

Quoted: wow and an extra trigger, that must be the national match trigger job. There is actually a 2-triggered 1911 out there... It was a conversion of the M1911 to DA/SA, the 'first' trigger does the DA function... Forgot who made it... That said, THAT looks like a shit photoshop.... |

Same thing here for Bloomington and IU. |

That's hilarious! ETA: The rounds look like 9mm ball, too. There you have it. The ammo is simply falling through the barrel. Like a hot dog down a hallway! |

That is what happens when you fire .32s thru a .45 . That's what happens when you shoot 40 S&W in a 45 ACP 1911. Not really, but the .40 bullet will exit the barrel when the cartridge is struck from behind by the .45 round fired behind it. I didn't see it happen, but I removed the split barrel from the slide. |

Well it does have two triggers. And the frame has been milled for a slide stop on the right side but there is no slide stop. |

They copy and pasted the 1911 image OVER whatever pistol was shooting the boolets. That's why there's two visible triggers. Freaking photoshop noobs.
