I put this on Cabela's page. Your sponsorship of the Eastern Sports Show needs to end immediately. They have banned all tactical weapons and accessories. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of gear from your company over the years, but I will not spend one dollar more at a business that does not have unconditional support of the 2nd Amendment. Understand the sentiment but I don't think I would boycott someone like Cabelas for sponsoring an outdoor show when they probably agreed to this a long time ago. They should be aware of it and if they have any backbone they will respond to the show managers. But give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially, since they have not stopped selling black rifles in their stores. |

I am not going to any gun show that bans guns which are not already banned, not paying any fees, nothing. And I'll seriously question buying anything from companies who sponsor events that do that.
This is absolutely not a time for people any type of firearms ownership to be assisting with the lies of gun control. |

Extremely disappointing.
I go every year and spend time (and money) in the archery arena and love just hanging out watching the 3-D competition. I meet up with my dad and some family and we have a nice day out. ETA: Email sent, including a tally of the revenue that they lost just on me and my family. |

There were certain gun shows around Atlanta, GA that pulled the same crap right after the '94 AW Ban was signed. It didn't last too long becuase of the push back of their normal attendees. Gradually things crept back on the tables and then there was a full policy change.

No such area exists on the floor plan for the show on the show's website.
In announcing its decision to pull out of the show Wednesday, Trop's owners stated on the store's Facebook page, "We feel as if their demands for us not to display modern sporting rifles, high capacity magazines, or even a logo of a manufacturer of said products is irreconcilable with our support of the Second Amendment." Lancaster Archery Supply, that does not sell guns, and the exhibits largerst archery vendors has pulled out of the show. I think when you express your angler to the exhibitors, a thank you of support should be sent to LAS, they are not even directly involved. |

Here is a statement by Trop gun shop. We have pulled out of all of our booth space based on Reeds policy towards AR's! We will do something in our store at the same time as the show. We are sorry that we won't be able to see our customers there but it is a matter of principles. We support the 2nd Amendment without conditions!! Dave Dunn President Trop Gun Later they posted I hope they refund because they did change the game. We started meeting with them after last years show to discuss our display for this year. We purchased over $20,000 in booth space! The focus was tactical guns and gear. they requested and encouraged us to go that way. We also purchased a surplus Army deuce and a half for the center piece of the display. We had it customized and wrapped for the show. We will not be able to recover that cost from Reed. Look for it at gunshows in he future. I hope other stores and dealers join us in this effort to stand up for our second amendment rights. F that Eastern sports and outdoor show, I am heading to Trops again to spend my money at a place that supports out 2A. |
