Looks like two patients in the DC area now (second one is in Maryland):
ROCKVILLE, Md. - A Montgomery County, Maryland hospital says they're treating a patient with flu-like symptoms who has a travel history that matches criteria for possible Ebola, but the patient has not been diagnosed with Ebola at this time. Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville released the following statement Friday afternoon: "Within the past 24 hours, we received a patient at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital that presented with flu-like symptoms and a travel history that matches criteria for possible Ebola. Our care team immediately implemented guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure the appropriate tests and care for the patient as well as the safety of everyone within our facility. We have procedures and equipment in our facility to safely handle patients with infectious conditions. Per these guidelines the patient remains in isolation and is showing signs of improvement. They sent him home with suspicious flu symptoms even after he said he was from Liberia Gave him antibiotics for flu symptoms His apartment still hasn't been decontaminated pending some unknown government approval Nitwit with a harbor freight power washer and no protective gear spreading vomit everywhere Woman in flip-flops standing in the puke river Another nitwit in a hazmat suit with the sleeves rolled up Five cops with no PPE go into the contaminated apartment for paperwork A judge and 2 female assistants also go into the apartment with no PPE for some kind of social visit This is just with one patient. One fucking patient. |
