If the Republicans had any balls at all they would give a speech that goes something like this…

History shows that government run health care systems fail in numerous ways. There’s no point in explaining how and why government run health care will fail. The reasons are rooted in the basic laws of the science of economics and everyone who has been paying attention knows just how bad such a system will be.

There are political dangers that have rarely been mentioned. Faced with rationing, no American could feel comfortable criticizing our government because they, or a loved one, could find themselves cut off from necessary medical care. Politicians would live in fear that their medical records, or the medical records of a loved one, could be made public and possibly reveal embarrassing details about their life. Government run healthcare is a recipe for a dictatorship.

Anyone who has been following the issue knows that one of the main reasons for the cost of health care is the parasitic legal industry. Malpractice laws and the insane judgments that can come from them drastically raise the operating experiences of doctors, hospitals, and drug companies. And, after legal fees, appeals, more legal fees, and more appeals, little of the money gained from such lawsuits goes to the victim of the malpractice. Naturally the trial lawyers oppose any changes in these laws and they give millions of dollars to the Democrat party to keep those laws from changing.

And now, the Democrat party wants to play doctor and take over our health care system and they are being openly backed by ABC News… Well, if they want to play the game they will have to play by the rules.

The Republican Party will offer an amendment to any health care bill which makes any Congressman who votes for this bill, the President who signs it, ABC, and ABC executives financially responsible for their malpractice. The amendment will allow them to be sued under malpractice laws for the misery and suffering their plan causes. Naturally we expect that such an amendment will be voted down. So we pledge to pass it as a law as soon as we have control of Congress and the White House.

Naturally the Democrats will scream foul… But if they are so confident about their plan then they shouldn’t have anything to worry about.”
