Yep. It's taped to the back of my driver's license, insurance card and I used to have it on my socks. Why? No hospital is going to give you blood without typing and matching it first. The military might be different. It does not matter what you tell the ER it is, they will use Universal donor or other volume expanders until THEY have typed and cross matched you. |

Yes. B+
Give blood at the red cross. You'll get a donor card with your blood type and help someone out badly in need of blood. win win |

Yup A-. The third rarest type from what I understand, 3.52% of the world pop and 6.3% of the US population share my blood type.
Had to have it typed when I was in Army ROTC in college. |

I'm A- Me too––that sucks for us as it's fairly rare. The Red Cross hounds me incessantly to donate because of it. Keep me in mind in case you ever need any. Yeah I know what you mean. A- also. |

B- But it really doesn't matter as some of the previous posters said. You aint getting type specific blood until a type, antibody screen and cross match is done. Until then you get O neg uncrossed in an emergency release situation.

I don't know mine, I do remember it's quite common. O something I would assume .

Not to ruin the suspense or anything, but if you poll enough Americans you'll get the exact distribution that's in this chart.
