I don't carry one on me, but in my 1200 square foot home I'm usually not more than 5 feet from a handgun.
If I'm wearing pants/shorts with belt loops, then I'm wearing a handgun.

I have my P3AT in my pocket from the time I wake up until I lay down each night whenever I am home. Usually carry something larger in addition to the .380 whenever I go out but I carry the kel tec on me almost all the time.
If I'm still wearing my clothes from the workday, yes. If I change into something comfortable it'll be near by, but not on me. I do have a pocket holster for my BG380 though for that attire.

If I'm wearing pants, I'm wearing a gun.
... so to answer your question, no. I don't wear a gun at home. I do have a rifle close at hand, though. |
Yes. S&W M&PC 40 if in shorts or sweats a 9mm kel tec or a 40 cal Texas defender.

From the time I get dressed, to the time I go to bed, I'm usually armed. Especially if it's a day I'm at work, since I work at my LGS. Just my .02...

I am always about 3 seconds from a handgun in my house.
Weeding & yard work, I'm carrying. I have a handgun on my nightstand, and another in another part of the house. I can get to either in 3 seconds. I used to have some party-animal neighbors; when they'd crank up the amp on their stereos I'd have something on my hip. Loud music seems to cause alcohol to flow freely in their home. They're gone now. |
Put it on in the morning, take it off at bedtime, been doing it so long it's habit. Wallet? check. Pocket knife? check. Pistol? check, and out the door.
Sometimes but not always. No kids so I have stashes in every room.

I have begun wearing mine pretty much all the time. I used to leave it on the table here in my den with my other edc items, but lately I have just been compelled to always have my primary on me. Is this too much cray cray, or what a lot of you also do? It is an XD .45 in FDE btw. View Quote what kind of area do you live in? what kind of thing do you need to worry about? |

View Quote I live in a good neighborhood EXCEPT for that one house in the line of sight from mine selling RX pills. If I have "real pants" on then it s on me. As I sit here as every other evening I have my G23 within arms reach. If I move it moves with me. |

They would first have to get past the dags by then my hands are on a weapon .

Not to mention I have iron bars on the windows and separate iron doors outside the regular locking exterior doors. The dead could here you trying to come into my home. |

After I get home from work I put on pjs to relax. Cant carry easily in fleece pants and a sweatshirt.

Yes. It's the best way to get used to wearing it and getting comfortable doing the same. It also gives me 100% control of my loaded weapon at all times.

"If you have to wear a gun at home, you need to move!" That is idiocy. May as well say if you have to lock your doors while your at home, you need to move.
There is no such thing as a "safe neighborhood." |

Yes of course. Even in pijamas I've at least got my s&w airwieght

I do not live in a bad area, I just have come to not feel safe for some reason unless I am armed. It drove me to get my permit about a year ago even. I have become like hyper aware of my surroundings and situational awareness. I also started prepping hard core about 6 months before I got my carry permit. I just have the feeling "something" might happen and have become ultra prepared I guess. I have no exact specific reason though other than I feel I should be ready at all times for whatever. I could just be paranoid - I understand that, but I just feel unsafe overall. |
Not normally, unless I'm going somewhere. I've got a few stashed around the house so one is always close by.
If Im awake, theres a handgun on my hip or within arms reach. And even when asleep, my carry pistol sits on my nightstand.
not ON me, but its less than 3 feet away
shot gun is less than 6 feet away AK is less than 10 if shit gets real, and then my "battle rifle" and 120 rounds of M855 is less than 25 feet away in the other room |
If wearing pants I'm armed, if not wearing pants there is one VERY close
