I believe Chuck Schumer said everything is on the table if the Dems won the senate runoffs in Georgia. Getting it all passed is another issue, but I think the libs are gonna double down and get as much through as they can. They missed opportunities with FBHO, and when FRHC lost that was a gut punch for them. I'm betting they go for broke now.

Where I'm at right now on those points:
I don't see packing SCOTUS happening any time soon. It must have internally polled for shit and was dropped from discussion back in October. I assume that Clarence Thomas may well die in the next couple years and getting to appoint a replacement will "balance the court". He's a 72 year old, unhealthy black guy. Average black male life expectancy is 69 years. The dems have a razor thin margin in congress, the smallest since the civil war, if not before. They don't have the political capital to do ALL of their platform. If they do the Green New Deal, they won't have the energy and votes to get PR in as a state, for example. We'll get SOME amount of shit from them, but they can't do all of it. |
