Supporting evidence or reasoning or its just emotional or obedient opinion. Innocent until proven otherwise so If one thinks it is wrong/immoral, how or why is pornography immoral? It really does give people an unreal idea of what real sex is like. Yes, of course it is morally wrong, where does one even begin. Even looking at a woman lustfully is morally wrong and adultery according to my Lord Jesus. for the most part i don't think that viewing/consuming porn morally wrong, but as with anything, overindulgence is unhealthy. i do, however, think that consuming certain kinds of porn is morally bad. snuff and child porn are the most obvious examples, but i think that even stuff like fictional rape porn is also bad. AFAIC, this stuff is not in any way equal to actually committing rape, but it is an indulgence in the fantasy of rape. in my view, this is actually very similar to (though not as bad as) consuming snuff porn.

When a man says he has never jerked it, I don't trust him. When a man claims to have never viewed porn, I don't trust him. When a man says he doesn't have sex with his wife for any reason other than procreation, I hope that man NEVER earns a position of power over anything outside of his property because he is either untrustworthy or fucked up in the head. Did Santorum actually say that ? I can't imagine anyone has never jerked it. I wouldn't believe any man who claimed that either. Not viewing porn, I'm sure there is some out there just not very many. I remember him saying something to the effect of "I don't believe in engaging in sexual activity for pleasure." I could be very wrong though. My view towards him is what it is simply because he seems like the kind of person to say something that stupid. |
