Quoted: Buckling in dogs is much safer for everyone involved. Fewer distractions for the driver and less likely to have panicked, potentially lethal projectiles pin balling around the cabin in the event of an accident. Never mind the damage a loose dog can do to an infant when an adult isn’t able to intercede because he or she is strapped in and driving. Kid on the way and my wife wants the dogs buckled in too for interstate driving (not joking). Andy got away from me at the bus stop this morning, jumped over me and got the zoomies while I was getting out of the car. He was good though, just ran in circles in the snow slightly less than 25ft from me (the length of his walking leash) until he got calm and I could grab the 6ft leash. Definitely half husky, he loves the snow. |

They seem like cool dogs. They’re very laid back and easygoing. Not the ones to pick if you want high drive, immediate, unquestioning obedience, or a specialist in a particular area of work, but great general family dogs. How big do they get? Over 100 lbs more often than not. And very prone to a couple very lethal cancers. A little too big for us, but the temperment sounds like it fits. |
