Like I said, I'm surprised. I think people deserve a chance to turn their lives around and make amends. Most of the time here when talking about a Hollywood type and/or convicted felon the pitchforks and nooses are brandished right away. He seems alright but he is a Hollywood liberal and all that goes with it as well as having a checkered pass, just wondering why Trejo gets the nod and others don't.

I disagree with him politically, but he seems to be a really well meaning warm guy, who's not militant liberal, and he seems to have really turned his life around. I'd gladly have a beer with the guy. Anybody who helps gang members get out of that lifestyle and back into society as a functioning member of that society is worth keeping around.
Plus, he has a great sense of humor. |

And, it seems from reading about him, he's been helping folks get over drug hurdles. So, what makes him a bad guy, Mr. Badass? |

He was pretty involved in the longshoreman drug / alcohol rehab program in LA. Would give guys his personal cell number and tell them to call him before they did anything stupid. |

How many dudes that he served time with just went back to prison or got themselves killed or just finally od'd?
Something to be said for a guy who not only rehabs himself, but becomes successful. I dunno if the story is true, but supposedly all his "bad" characters have to die in any role he plays. He's even done kid movies. |
