It was built as a Douglas C-47-DL



It went to the USAAF Feb 10, 1943



It went to the RFC on Oct 11, 1945.



RFC: Reconstruction Finance Corporation -- a government agency founded in 1932 to give aid to state and local governments and to make loans to banks, railroads, mortgage associations, and other businesses. During the war, the RFC made loans to enterprises essential to the war effort. It also supervised the sale and disposal of excess and surplus aircraft at the end of the war.

Might be doing aerial mapping for a research project.

It could also be the NSA with super secret sensors able to see through walls and locate your hidden weapon caches.  

When you're the NSA, you don't need to paint it black.

Something about their incorporation laws.
As I understand it, many Corporations are incorporated in Delaware due to tax laws.
