Bumping...because this shit has potential to go countrywide: either state by state or by the Fed, IMHO. Well, it would take a snap of the fingers for it to go national. If it is not stopped in Calif, others will follow. Even if it is 'stopped' it will be long after the fox has left the hen house before the door is closed. And, the beauty is the taxpayers, who had thier money stolen, will watch THEIR money being used by the state funded courts to defend the theft. 1. Take the money 2. Get sued 3. Use the money to defend the suit Rinse, repeat. If the taxpayers do get any money back it will be AFTER the .gov settles, and the lawyers get their share. The money is gone either way. TRG |

They have infected northern Idaho with plenty of anti-gun, anti-hunting, over inflated house prices and welfare state politics over the last twenty years. My wife came up with a possible brilliant idea: change our withholding forms for the state government to take less out. I'd figure most people would stumble upon that if they didn't read about it in the paper or see it on the local news. My withholding can be changed on-line with a single mouse click. At the beginning of the year I reduced my "contributions" by $500 a month with a couple mouse clicks between the state and the federal government ... one more didn't hurt too bad at all. When I am President the second thing I do is remove all forms of automatic government program deductions from all pay checks. You want to really piss the people off have them start writing checks to Social Security, Federal and State taxes rather than automatically deduct it. I asked the guys at work if they could tell me any of their taxes to within the nearest $25 ... not a one ... yet when the price of gasoline goes up a dime they're giving birth to kittens. |

So the bastards can't touch the taxes so they put "fees" on everything that walks, crawls, or slithers across the land. Technically this isn't a new tax, they're just merely over collecting on the old one. I see Howard Jarvis taking this one on if the new governor doesn't kill it with one of the first strokes of her pen next year this time ... along with a hundred other bull shit call-them-what-you-want but they're taxes. |

They have to find a way to trick fuck us with a nod and a wink from the courts. |

Is there anyone who is still has a job in Calif? This is just going to hasten the exit of talented, honest, hardworking people and leave a cesspool of Obama'ites on the left coast. Making more money than ever actually ... Since I'm in the highest tax bracket here ... as are most people with jobs ... the +10% was less than one percent of my paychecks - about $100 a month before I stopped it with a mouse click. I already cut them by $500 a month eleven months ago so the extra $100 was easy. The shocking thing is that if you don't pay the federal government your tax bill in advance of it's due date - they fine you for paying it ... they fine you for paying it late! I shit you not. Nobody posting here knows that or understands that but if you fail to pay your federal taxes in advance one year they'll fine you and then set up quarterly payments for the next year forcing you, forcing you to pay your tax bill in advance! Why nobody knows that is shocking - ask any of your tax preparers if you can write out a check for your bill in April. Nope. Not a big deal at all. California does the same but adds 10% more and it's the end of the world as we know it ... Too farting funny people. |

I hate the ant burning more than most, but come on man - don't defend this crap. No, I'm not defending this but how do you pay your federal income taxes? You pay them in advance of their due correct? Or do you face the fines for not paying them early? Does Ohio let you pick the amount of withholding? California does - you click with your mouse on a box from zero to nine on my form - and that adjusts the amount of withhold I choose to put away. They jumped it by 1% of my paychecks so I took off dependents to get it down about $100 to even it out. Since the withholding tables that my employer (DoD) uses are based on one paycheck - and I get two, plus my pension, plus my disability from the VA they're terribly off. I've been manually managing them for the last six years now and most highly recommend everyone - even non- phuckers - reduce them as much as possible. |

I know one state now that I will never live in. And another convert! Sorry we couldn't take you anyways as California is full. And here, ladies and gentlemen, is what is so horrifically fucking Orwellian about withholding schemes. Here's hoping that somebody sues their ass and that a court somewhere in that area with some common sense whaps the Cali officials on the nose with a newspaper and says "No! Bad politician! No donut!" Seriously, folks....if this kind of thing doesn't scare the living shit out of you then you're asleep. This is going beyond the power to tax...this is the equivalent of government officials coming to your house and taking your car at gunpoint. "We'll bring it back when we're done with it." The mindset that actually lets a politician say "Why don't we just take more from withholding in people's paychecks?" is so fucking scary I can't even put it into words. THIS is what liberalism buys us...the absolute abolition of all property rights. Everything you have belongs to the government and if you're lucky they'll let you have some of it when they are done taking care of their campaign promises. This ought to lead to a taxpayer revolt that would make Prop. 13 look like a pre-school game of duck duck goose. People ought to be melting the phone lines to the governor's office and to the legislators asking them where the fuck did they get the right to simply confiscate people's property without compensation...and they should use those words. "Where the fuck do you get off, Arnie?" John, every now and then, you are my fucking hero. |

I assume this is being done to avoid filing for bankruptcy, (how a State government does this is beyond me but I guess a State can file for bankruptcy).
The libtard politicians in California pass communist types of laws and programs over the years and it leads to this situation. Rather than admit their error and just be honest by filing for bankruptcy, they seek to force an interest free loan upon the residents. This is communism if I ever saw it. Not to mention cowardice. |
