Quoted: There are two union halls, electrical and teamsters, around the corner from me. They ONLY promote D candidates. Back in apprentice school (IBEW134, no longer a member, self employed) I got into a 'debate' w/ a teacher over voting Him: YOU ALWAYS VOTE YOUR PAYCHECK!! YOU ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRAT!!! Me: I will not sell my vote for a dollar. I will never vote for a candidate who is anti 2A Him: OH YEAH? HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BUY ANY GUNS IF YOU'RE NOT WORKING!!! Me: Still wouldn't sell my vote for a paycheck Him: YOU BETTER NOT EVER BRING A GUN INTO MY CLASSROOM Me: WOAH, where the hell did that come from?! Who said anything about bringing a firearm into school? At that point I knew the conversation wasn't going anywhere so I stopped 'debating' him. View Quote Go thru it with my current employer but not union. Lets just say they are over the top PC and SJW, I just nod and go yup and move on when they start their shit. I try not to generalize but the union membership has failed to dodge the liberal dodgeball so many times that it's laughable. Every union is run just like the NRA. LaPierre wears a million dollar lifestyle while the membership gets fucked. Come'on man!! My Dad came home from WW2 and went to work as an electricians helper, got his license and life went on. He told me VIVIDLY about be called a "scab" by union sparkys as he walked across a street to go to work in Dallas in the late 40s'. He also taught me a lesson that I'll never forget. "I never needed another man to negotiate my price for me". He was right then and is STILL right today. For all those guys on the pipelines and other projects in other industries that just lost their jobs stupid is supposed to hurt. You'll never learn though because you need another man to negotiate your wage for you. THAT man will always wear a suit. He'll never get dirty. He'll always make more money than you do. Why? Because he takes advantage of your stupidity ,,,just like the Democrats do. Just remember,,,the union bosses that led you to vote for Biden are on the golf course today not worried about a damn thing. They know all they have to do is to speak loudly at a "meeting" and collect a portion of YOUR labor for free and laugh all the way to the bank.

Never a good feeling to see people loosing their livelihood.
That said, you reap what you sow. As you watch everything come crashing down in your life, there is a silver lining. You should be able to sleep well every night knowing: 1) Xiden looks and act's presidential 2) He has not hurt anyone's feelings on twitter |

I am not not union but work with all kinds of tradesman that are. An overwhelming majority of them voted for Trump. They hated Biden and Cumala. Of course their leaders told them to endorse the dems but they didn’t because they saw through all the bullshit and propaganda. After the election they were just as upset with the results and couldn’t believe it either. They are a lot of people that put country and what’s right before blind sheepish endorsements.
Every cop I know, I mean everyone of them voted for Trump. So we should not paint everyone of a certain group with the same broad brush. All it does is cause division between the ones are fighting for the same cause. |
|
I cherish my vote. It is my voice. I will never understand letting another group, person or entity telling you what your voice should say. I will determine what I want it to say then use it to speak. It will be my words, my way.

The union whining about this is like people in every country who elect socialists. They always complain that "this isn't the socialism I voted for. I wanted the government to make someone else pay for 'free' stuff for ME!!" Most people want someone else to feel the pain and when they feel the pain they cry like babies. If you voted for this, you should celebrate it. |

It doesn't matter. The union officials won't lose any money at all, so it's all good!

Some of the pro labor guys will vote democrat because they mistakenly feel it's protecting their jobs. Of course the union leadership pushes the membership to vote D. |

Quoted: Probably a dupe but, You get what you deserve. The United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters, which endorsed Biden in the 2020 election, expressed their disappointment with the decision. “In revoking this permit, the Biden Administration has chosen to listen to the voices of fringe activists instead of union members and the American consumer on Day 1,” General Association President Mark McManus said in a statement. When I was union, my foreman told me he wished that voting machines gave receipts as he would make everyone show theirs, and if they voted R he would lay them off. Also instead of class one night we went to the seic office and phone banked with scripts for the D running for governor.
The second part was funny because they stuck me in a private office, and I flipped the script and shilled for R candidate, iI am sure t would have gotten me thrown out of the union if they found out |

Here's the thing about public and private sector union members(I've worked for 3, including UAW and ASHME).
Every union I've work in has had a tiered pay scale. At some point the membership voted that people hired after them would be paid less than they were for the same job. Benefits were reduced. 401K instead of pensions. Different health care ect. So the older members think the union is great! They get better pay, the easy jobs, they're impossible to fire because of seniority. When the D's say that they support the union the senior people vote D because their union seniority is the only thing keeping them employed. And it will be all the younger pipefitters, wielders, and machine techs that will get laid off. Thus perpetuating the cycle. |

Fuck them and their unions. They never learn, continue for decade after decade voting their jobs away. Trump finally gave them something no Marxist Democrat ever will or ever have, a solid economy and a regulations eased / tariff fair climate to go full out but they blew it. Xiden has been on office only a few days and has totally pissed off most of the population already. Never saw that coming.

Im sure not every worker actually voted for him and that sucks for them, but this is one of the reasons people hate unions

View Quote What you do is no real consequence. Your dues are financing the Democrat Machine, like it or not. I was in a union once, and it was pretty lame. We did try for the 15 years I was in to oust the president of the local. It wasn't happening. No matter how we voted, or how we complaint to the International level. Very frustrating for a lot of folks. He and a few others were the reason the local wasn't strong and why we were in an eternal pissing match with the company. |

Don’t sell your votes to the left and you get infrastructure and energy jobs. Enjoy the candidate you bought with your Dues.
Wait tell they pass right to work nation wide for all the disenfranchised people the Union keeps from working. Then give citizenship to every illegal in the country or simply make it against the law for workplaces to discriminate based on immigration status. |
