Just a little update on info. The shot that put the suspect down was a 12 gauge slug but after he was down, he got lit up by additional officers. Apparently, the suspect tried to leave the library but saw arriving officers approaching. He re entered and that where he was killed. After the officers "were sure he was dead"  , they dragged his body outside of the building leading me to believe he was wearing a ballistic or load bearing vest that they believed may contain explosives.
At least one SMC Officer and three SMPD Officers were involved in the final shootout. John Were there any reports of him asking where the snack bar was in the library? |

First published reports I've seen where they admit it was an 80% lower. Seems like he may have completed it on his own press.

So that upper in the bag was a back up to a complete rifle he was using.
Did we ever figure out how/why he was out of his boots? 00 Buck knock him out like the movies? Let's see: 1. Denied firearm transfer 2. Home searched in 2006 due to threats against students, teachers, and school officials 3. Mental Eval after that 4. Terror Watch list |

Wait. He was killed by a cop with a SHOTGUN??? AR15.com has taught me that shotguns are not effective weapons against armed threats. This stuff can be so confusing.
