We already have jets. These idiots live near the airport, and are absolutely clueless that transient corporate jets use it fairly often. There's also a King Air 200 in the hangar next to the one I work in, and a Merlin in the hangar on the other side of the King Air. Two flight schools, two maintenance shops, rows of T-hangars and a couple corporate box hangars, a Beaver (R-985 with the wonderfully loud 2 blade prop), two WACOs, a couple homebuilts that look like sporterized formula racers, several 8 to 10 passenger recip twins... and these idiots never hear the jets. The city runs the airport as a business. Fuel sales, hangar rent, and tie down rent. Works out to something in the neighborhood of $70,000 profit for the city, per year. I was told that they even refuse federal funding, so that they can tell the feds to go pound sand on some of the federal requirements. I worked at the same airport a couple decades ago, when I first got my A&P. There were very few houses near the airport, at that time. |

Bill has a host of trained professionals protecting him and his family. They are outsourced personal protection specialists with backgrounds ranging from LEO to SOF. 15 years ago he really had no security. People approached him with business cards and proposals walking on the street or at sporting events like the Sonics (miss them). It is absolutely hypocritical that he believes he and his family are more important than others when giving hundreds of thousands to gun control related proposals. I would love to be able to afford two or three former Green Berets to guard my family. This information is all available online with the right search criteria.

I've met the guy. 15 years ago at a fancy resort i worked at. He had a very hot blond security with him at the time who doubled as a Nanny. And he was under a different name. But he was hanging on his own when i went and said G'day and had a chat. Nice enough bloke.

They always had it moored at the south end of the field and gave rides for a small fee. There was a small Drive In theater where that industrial park is and we would go there on the weekends and I would always watch the blimp instead of the movie. My parents had both worked for Boeing where they met but they both said it was shitty to work for then. (late 50s) West Coast hired my dad when my Uncle referred him and drove a MAC tools truck and owned several soda machines also. I remember picking the silver out to save when they changed the currency in 64/65 and any silver after that was saved but it dried up surprisingly quick. The Terminal in those days had a Tribute to Wiley Post and Will Rogers, those guys were hero material for sure. I could sit for an hour watching the old teletypes clacking along. Back then we didn't worry about an fucking noise. Noise was progress and Seattle was a hotspot for it. There were daily sonic booms and the hydroplane races on Lake Washington were epic with the old Alison and Merlin powered boats. Back then noise was the sound of money, lots of it.

That equates to a decent number of business trips and some vacations to some far-flung spots. Example: You do some 2-day trips from the west coast to NYC. I'm sure they run to SFO or LA quite a bit. Most of the ones I was dealing with were former Secret Service Presidential Details guys, all very nice professionals. They managed the company's worldwide security along with the CEOs personal security. They had lots of former SOF on their payroll to provide contingency operations and on numerous times had to extract workers from areas of the world that had "flare ups" or some form of unrest making it nessesary to get their people out of the country. When the CEO traveled for business it was like a presidential detail with advance teams and lots of planning. I can only imagine how much money was spent on this kinda of stuff. |

My experience from the yachting world and being around Billionares is that ....... They get security when they think they need it. Most do have a full time go to Security person somewhere within the group of every day life people, however in most cases they are not attached at the hip and following their every move 24/7. Depends on a number of issues.
Of course some Billionares are egotistical D-bags and think they are in need of half a dozen ex Navy Seals following them around like puppy's when .... No one really cares. I like the ones that notice my drink is empty and personally mix me a new one. Rare but has happened ! |
