| My cousin lives in Vinton county and has had several run ins with a large apeman. In fact he has seen a pair of them together at the same time once. He is a good Christian man, church on Sundays, high school graduate, doesn’t drink or smoke. I believe him, there is definitely something out there. |

You have to directly link an animal with a footprint before you can go around inferring that that is what made them. You can go out and see a bear footprint and surmise with a great deal of confidence that a bear made them, since they have been demonstrably directly linked many times by other people. Without the direct link first, there is no reason for any confidence in the same inference. At this point every direct link that has been made has been a link to a hoaxer, and that dictates the confidence level of inference. So yeah, not only can they be dismissed, they have to be until a link is made. |

In my younger years i was hunting with a friend in southern Ohio. We were a couple hour walk from just about anything and came to an area about half an acre in size that thinned out into an almost clearing. As we walked into it we both stopped and looked at each other.. "Do you feel that?". We both had a sense of being watched wash over us, the hair on our arms stood up and the woods went dead silent. We did a 180 and got the hell out of dodge. I doubt it was big foot but it opened my eyes to funky stuff in the woods. I also have a friend who swears he saw a "pumkin head" (tall, thin legs and torso with a huge head) cross the road in front of him in northern Ohio.. Straightest guy i know.... I personally think peaple see a glimpse of something and your brain fills in the rest, but who really knows. |

Once you have an experience you are forced to confront it. |

This was by a little creek with a sandy bank. When the little feet climbed the bank you can see the toes hyper extend into the sand for grip. It looked like something a monkey would do. The number two spot was a track line following deer tracks. The footprint stepped off the path and splayed onto a sandy ledge below it. A very three dimensional track that extended multiple levels. That isn’t a track that a human could make. I still have that cast. |
