Just a comment... "Top Gun" Sucks!!!! One of the worst movies of all time. If you had this movie on your list you should immediately get out a pencil and piece of paper and write 100 times "I have no taste."

Okay...I didn't want to get into this one...because they keep coming back like a zombie but here goes:
Dramas: Ben Hur ("We keep you alive to serve this ship." Citizen Kane (Maybe the finest movie ever made.) Not my favorite, but a great flick. Casablanca. Was Ingrid Bergman a major hottie or what? (Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!) The Wind & The Lion. ("Pedercales alive...or Raisuli DEAD!") Gotta love Teddy Roosevelt. Great shoot-em up! Brave men...beautiful womenz. The Seven Samurai. Maybe the best ever...a bit long but a great flick. Musical: Victor Victoria. I don't care if it is a flick about homos, it's still funny as hell, like most of Blake Edwards stuff. The Music Man. (Wellll...ya got trouble my friend...trouble, right here in River City!) My Fair Lady. Dammit, Professor Higgins was RIGHT about womenz!!! Horror: Alien. Scared the crap out of me at 33. Had nightmares. Comedy: Blazing Saddles Animal House The Great Race 1941 Satire: Dr. Strangelove...("Mein Fuehrer, I can walk!") War: Saving Private Ryan (My all time favorite.) Twelve O'clock High (Best movie ever on military leadership.) The Cruel Sea In Which We Serve The Pursuit of the Graf Spee Western: Lonesome Dove The Searchers Documentary: The World At War (Narrated by Lord Sir Laurence Olivier) Docudrama: I Claudius. Action: Sand Pebbles (Incredible battle scenes. The most realistic Navy movie ever.) Gunga Din. Lots of fun. Science Fiction: Star Wars Forbidden Planet (Remember, it was made in 1956) [soapbox] |
