I dunno, I think I could rub one out at high altitude for my country. I mean that is a really shitty day when a JASSM load comes streaking out of the sky from 40,000 feet and hits you in the eye.

The B1s range is intercontinental without refueling. So if a B1 took off from an airstrip in country or it refueled in country. It could loiter over an area all day ready to support troops instantly. I dont know an F-16s flight time unrefueled but id guess it isnt more than 2-3 hours

A B1s payload is something like 75,000 lbs  an F-16s is 17,000 but f-16 would have to lose its external fuel tank/s to carry that weight in munitions.

I would say the 2 dont even come close to doing the same thing.

The sad part is that even if the DOD doesn't really want to kill the BONE, Boeing McDonnell Douglas does.

It all depends on the target, in places like Now Zad and Musa Qala it was not unusual to unload the entire B1 load because there were just that many targets.  Even more important, the Bone just has the endurance, an F-16 is at Bingo or having to Yo-Yo tank in many fights because of the shorter legs it has.
