Quoted: He should have just replied with the description of “fair” as it clearly wasn’t read. FAIR- some major parts replaced; minor replacement parts may be required; metal rusted, may be lightly pitted all over, vigorously cleaned or reblued; rounded edges of metal and wood; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal partly obliterated; wood scratched, bruised, cracked or repaired where broken; in fair working order or can be easily repaired and placed in working order. The condition is disclosed on all of their used firearms. End story. Buy a new/proper slide stop. |

Quoted: Another key board warrior I see. I made this post to make people aware of the shady bs of Atlantic deleting a post about this issue on their industry forum. Clearly you warriors support shitty company’s and then try to attack people that bring awareness. It’s not about the money, it’s about the shitty CS and then deleting the post. Hopefully all your purchases go well, because you sure deserve them to be screwed up for being an arrogant ass! Do you feel the same about Geissele? |

Quoted: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Kn7nCLJPO7k/maxresdefault.jpg I love that the owner of a company that oursources production of some of the most overpriced AR parts on the market is bitching about an incredibly cheap replacement part for a used, military surplus item And has to have their friend/customer/fellow whiner spam posts about it all over too In the time it took to post all these whining threads you could've had the part you need on order Very lame customer service for sure but at least it was a pretty damn common imported firearm and not some unobtainable rare gun with zero, parts. |

Quoted: Lol'ing at all the AF fan bois Did the add say "NRA Surplus Condition, maybe missing parts, no refunds or exchanges"? If not worded like that AF should make it right IMO. Quoted: Trust me bro. I can't prove it but trust me bro. If you listed surplus guns with the caveat that they're in unknown condition and may need parts they are what they are. I've sold broken guns here before with zero issues. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Okay, so if I list my milsurp pistols on the EE and they have incorrect replacements for guide rods, slide stops, locking blocks, firing pins, etc and a buyer starts a negative feedback thread, you guys are gonna side with me right? If you listed them as a lot and said individual ones may have parts that have been or need to be replaced then yes of course. How is this hard to understand? Trust me, the EE mods won’t see it that way. You’re welcome to try it yourself. Trust me bro. I can't prove it but trust me bro. From the EE sticky by Wilson https://www.ar15.com/forums/Equipment-Exchange/A-few-things-you-should-know-before-you-buy-or-sell-here-/127-319250/ When selling: 1. Be brutally honest, to yourself and the buyer. Better to undersell than to oversell, and the buyer will be happier upon receipt. Be clear about any defects or shortcomings, but also sell the good points. “Unknown” condition as you describe is a dangerous precedent that essentially allows people to get away with listing items they which they are aware have issues, but able to avoid any obligation to disclose. I had to take a factory new rifle back thanks to Brownells’ shit QC, which was discovered by the buyer. I never fired it or touched it after transfer. |

Quoted: I noticed in the pictures there weren't ambi slidestops on the CZ85, which I thought was standard on them. Asked Atlantic about it and was told that's how it was. I chose not to purchase. The ambi stops are impossible to find as spare parts. My guess was that somewhere along the way they got stripped off and replaced with whatever was cheapest that more or less worked. Fuzzy memory but I thought they were prone to breaking on top of a slight risk of frame cracking where the extra stop goes through. |

I had to take a factory new rifle back thanks to Brownells’ shit QC, which was discovered by the buyer. I never fired it or touched it after transfer. Then don't buy it. If he says it might be a boat anchor or it might be perfect and you buy it then get upset it isn't perfect that's on you. I'd avoid that listing myself. When I sold my broken revolver I said that it didn't work, it would hang up sometime, I have no idea why. The buyer can't get mad that it needs a new hand because I didn't say it needed a hand. If I sell a gun that I say might need parts and it needs parts why would anyone be upset it needs parts? I bought a Mosin that had an egg shaped chamber, it was only good for a doorstop. 1) That's the way surplus goes sometimes and 2) I'd already transferred it so it was mine. I gave it to a buddy to practice on his lathe with. |

Quoted: As has been stated, it's right on the site. Also agree receiving dealer should have told customer "Look it's the wrong part, it's surplus? Lets find the correct part"! With that said I appreciate the heads up about a company with bad customer service. Would it really have been a big deal for Atlantic to make the customer happy? From pulling a stop off, to a small cash refund? They could have done something. Once again just my opine yun. |

From pulling a stop off, to a small cash refund? They could have done something. Once again just my opine yun. You mean this? The process of grading and inspecting surplus firearms is very subjective and involves numerous details. We always try our best to be as accurate as possible, but we do not inspect firearms and rely on the rating provided by the importer. It is important with the nature of surplus firearms that it be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before use, preferably by a knowledgeable and trained Gunsmith. Please make sure that you are using the correct ammo for the firearm and understand the safe operating procedure. There is no warranty or returns offered on surplus firearms unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by email with [email protected]. He got exactly what he ordered. I do not expect Atlantic to cannibalize other guns to get parts to fix something that's not their problem. This is the danger with buying surplus sight unseen and I don't blame Atlantic. Oh, mine is scuffed up. I want a new, handpicked one. Oh, my recoil spring is weak. Send me parts. Oh, I need new mag springs. I want new mags. Oh, the trigger is gritty. This isn't what I ordered. If I ordered a pistol in that grade with that description I'd just order a new slide stop while I was getting springs anyway. I'd assume it might need something and wait to order parts until I had it in hand. That's me |
