I almost forgot this pic. 20 rounds out of the AK. The lead block was warm after being hit with 20 rounds. It actually had steam/smoke coming from it. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w170/pumpkinheaver/Hunting/AA7721D4-6912-4B33-8B9D-664BA02E9509_zpsgdgq38bo.jpg View Quote Neat how the "energy dump" manifested itself into heat. Physics FTW. Thanks for sharing OP. |

I have another one of these blocks. Next time I want to try Chinese steel core 7.62 and some SS109 5.56 and see the difference compared to todays rounds.

Neat stuff to shoot at.
Once I shot an automatic transmission by itself in a field and it smoked for a long time. |

One of the neatest test I have seen conducted on Arfcom. Good job OP

Sweet!
Terminator was the thing thing I thought of when I saw it too. |

Some people of this world are oppressed and do not own 308s. Now that is a pic I would like to see, but the high speed video I would LOVE to see. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Now that is a pic I would like to see, but the high speed video I would LOVE to see. The only .308 ammunition I have is loaded with 150gr softpoints as it is my deer rifle. Would that suffice? |

I was going to do the same thing with a similar chuck of lead, just to see what a 300gr round nose, out of my .375 H&H, would do. Never got around to it.
Guess I could try the 8mm-06 on it, though. |

You are indeed an artist. I will call it "The Lead Bouquet".

Should of weighed it first then shot it to see if you added or removed lead.
