I hope the guys stockpiling ammo pick up extra insulin or else they're just storing it for others.

Quoted: If you have decent sporting goods stores you can definitely hustle and get it for less. This week I got a 200 round pack of Fiocchi 9mm for $0.38/round which is the most I have paid for FMJ 9mm during gunpocalypse. View Quote I just paid .31pr for 200 rounds of Speer Lawman 115gr. If they weren't limiting boxes I would have bought more. |

Joke's on you OP.
This time next year the dollar won't be worth a square of toilet paper and that 9mm ammo is only going to be harder to find. |

I have some 9 listed locally for sale. I just let go of 1,000 rounds of XM-855 for $800.

Quoted: Quoted: I sold 2K of 9mm FMJ today for 2K. I told the guy that drove 90 miles for the purchase he was crazy, he laughed at me. Rest my case. What's your replacement cost? You can get 3k of 9mm from Tula for $2k and still have about $200 left over. Or buy 2k CBC milspec 9mm and picket about $200. |

There's no replacing those rounds. Y'all folks aren't focusing on the long game at all.

Somewhere a guy with a Dillon 550 is laughing. He picked up buckets of discarded brass for free at the range. Bought bulk powder in 2019 and projectiles. He paid $320/10000 for primers........
He laughs himself to sleep. |

Quoted: Yesterday I went looking for some .38spl for my wife. It's the only caliber of what I own that i don't stock deep. $76 for a box of 50, fmj. I passed. I did get some .44spl though. View Quote 38spcl is the only thing I got caught slipping on. At this point I think I’m better off buying some dies and projectiles then reloading the ~100 pieces of brass I have than trying to buy ammo. |

There was a listing in the EE today by a member in the DFW Texas area that listed around 6000 rds of 5.56 and 2000 rds of 9mm. All of it is marked spf. By my math, he got around $ 8,100.00. It wasn’t high dollar ammo if I remember correctly. Tula, Barnaul etc.
Easy to find if you enter DFW as your key word in the search. |

I hope you inquired a bit about his political leanings first.....

how much is it worth to someone that actually may need it?
$1,000 for 1k 9mm may seem like a bargain in 3 days? 3 weeks? 3 months? When people were crying about $400 per K 9mm I said the same thing...and here we are. |

Quoted: Small gunshops around here have a couple boxes of all the main handgun calibers at roughly $1/round. I've heard 2 owners say "if you need it, you'll buy it". The bigger sporting goods stores have much lower prices (when ammo is in stock). I don't get mad at the prices, nor do I think people are suckers for paying $1/round. We have had millions of new gun owners the last few years and I'm going to assume a bunch more the last half year. If you need something and the price is high, having some is better than having none. I look at this as a good time to shoot the calibers I have plenty of ammo for. View Quote No doubt. I have 20k rnds .22LR after the madness of 2008/2012. I went shooting with my son and we shot mostly .22, a lot of it is that shit Winchester bulk pack that was around during those times. Since he's going off to college we went through a couple hundred rnds of 9mm and .38 It's amazing how much slower you shoot when you think about current replacement cost, ha |

View Quote Later this year when it’s going for $2 a round he may be laughing too, at the guy who sold it to him in January for half that. If someone had told me a year ago I would see .22lr going for .40 cents a round, 9mm for $1, and 30-30 of all things going for $4-$5 a round, I would have told them they are insane. Yet here we are. |

The nice thing about this market is that "I sold them all back during the crazy times" will be plausible enough to get you an extra minute before they start plucking fingernails

A year from now, that may look like a steal. I spent $20k on ammo last year, much of it when I found deals. Zero regrets.
