Ed, I abide by your rules, boss. It seemed to me that he didn't really state an opinion though, other than copy a published article. Immediately the ATTACKS begin with name-calling and baiting. I saw not MUCH intelligent discourse. As far as the Edmund Burke quote (one of my favorites) and where I draw the line... THAT'S "intelligent discourse" and could be the topic for another thread. And to whoever it was that told me to follow my own advice, that's the kind of comments and attitude I was referring to. And by the way, I will.

The cut-and-paste crowd don't have any ideas of their own. All they can do is grunt approvingly when they experience a slight glimmer of recognition that someone else's thoughts seem to reflect their own fears and muddled thinking. That, and use UBB code to make the link.
Again, we must comment on the wrong behavior of those in our midst as they reveal it, or we encourage and indirectly express our approval of it. Maggot88 just gave us a chance to show what we're made of. Besides, who would respond to a thread titled, "Are American Nazis good guys?", or some such... |

Jarhead_22, I wasn't specifically referring to you. I actually thought your last comment about the basement and this forum not being on equal 1st amendment footing to be quite good. However, you were the first to respond to the article he copied, and instead of commenting on the article you approached him on a PERSONAL level, in my opinion coming close to "baiting". Of course we all know about opinions though. I'VE seen a disturbing trend on this forum over the last year, and specifically since 9/11. People like Garandman are RIDICULED for their sincere beliefs while the quest for "tolerance" goes on. Tolerance is nothing more or less than a universal BELIEF SYSTEM that doesn't allow individual differences.

I had a good friend that was married to a Mexican woman named Guadalupe. She got into ceramics and started making me all kinds of interesting stuff - A coffee cup in the shape of a huge breast. You drank out of the nipple. And a STATUE of two people standing up and um, copulating. She always called me "hombre" and wanted desperately for me to come to Mexico with her and meet her sister. As I said, the information he posted has been posted and debated before. I asked him a personal question to clarify a perception I had, and he confirmed my suspicions. At no time did I bait him. I was very clear about my view, and was not insulting in the least when I aired it. Of course we all know about opinions though. Apart from being generally worthless pissants who are incapable of objectivity and forming intelligent thoughts, these people are socialist ass-clowns. They like to blame their failures and/or lack of success (not meeting their own life goals) on minorities because they are too weak to take accountability for their own actions or inactions. They are easy to spoon feed as long as you tell them nothing is their fault.
