When will the gov't give up on this bullshit of taking obviously unfit youths and paying them to go to school? It just makes obviously unfit future employees. No responsibility through highschool then take tax payers money to give them another 4 years (2) to be irresponsible. White or black, shit-bricks need to stay out of my pocket.

I went to a state school and the "urban youth" did the same thing. All of their college was paid for. Most couldn't hack it and were out the first semester.
I got one worse. I have a buddy that went to SUNY Albany. His room mates (actually suite mates) were "urban youth." They had their tuition room and board paid for by the school. They started dealing coke and E out of his dorm and made TONS of money doing it. They were sophomores, and had barely passing GPAs. Finally enough sorority chicks got busted for coke and they fingered his room mates. His dorm suite got raided by SWAT. The college decided it would look bad for the school to convict them so they expelled the kids from the school, and deleted all record of them ever going to college. One of them ended up applying and going to a new college and the other one died in jail. I can't imagine what the taxpayers paid for this bullshit. |

It seems fried chicken jokes and monkey references don't bother the mods too much. Over the last couple of weeks I've sure noticed. It really makes me wonder where a lot of the posters on here live. They post up like they've never met a decent black person. While I'm one to point out the problems and hypocrisy in the black community, I do so based on facts not the result of a stereotype I've developed over a life of meeting 5 black people. |

Jesus.
It's a fight. Kids are going to fight sometimes. It wasn't like every kid in there was fighting. It looked to me like it was probably something that got said to one of the football players (or supporters (White shirts) or thier Gfs, and a fight broke out. for all the macho about how everyone on this board would be uber tough guy and fight people at the drop of a hat, we don't seem very empethetic. I played football in HS and I can tell you that at no time would you ever fight one of us. You'd fight all of us. 'Course, we didn't go looking for trouble either. It's kids guys. Try to keep the overt racism on hold for a few moments. |

This is the result of the belief everyone should be able to go to college
During the day...in a school cafeteria...at a college age level..no that's not typical or common. Maybe at a frat party where people are wasted and provoke one another, not in a situation like this. |

If the definition of acting like an animal is defending yourself and your friend(s), absolutely we did. I take it you've never gotten in a fight? Oddly, I still respond that way in the prison I work at if a thug attacks one of my co workers. You may call me animal. I've got a word for you too. |

That might be what is getting GD reaction. |

Instead, most of it was various jokes about Liberia and monkeys, etc. Whatever charges need to be filed, go right ahead. But people are trying to make it like this is the first fight to happen on a college campus, and that anyone involvedin a fight is somehow a scumbag. |

I never said it was aceptable. I'm glad fights never happened where you went to school. I was involved in a number of fights on and off the football field, none of which I threw the first punch in. Do you think it's acceptable and normal to not defend yourself or run away if you are assaulted? Are you also saying that no fights ever happened at your school on campus? |
