Quoted: Well, I have you on my ignore list as a "communist troll" I'm going to ask that you don't show up to my deal. I'm not a big ignore list guy so if you got on there, there is a reason. There's only one person that's been run off my ranch, don't make it 2. View Quote Wait, you have ME as a communist troll? Thats pretty funny. That makes me even more resolute on attending. Me a communist troll..thats some funny ass shit right there. Edit: I don't know where you got that I was interested in coming to a ranch. I was talking about the actual event in Houston. |

OP, did we establish it's a 51%, so bar knives & nunchucks only?
Will there be strippers or only Subnet? |

Looks like if they still have a 51% sign up it's invalid. View Quote The gun sign (Red or Blue) only designates whether an establishment licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for onsite consumption derives 51% (or more) of their revenue from alcoholic beverage sales (beer, wine, or if licensed mixed drinks). https://www.tabc.texas.gov/texas-alcohol-laws-regulations/sign-requirements/ Every establishment that is licensed to sell on prem alcoholic beverages must display one of the two gun signs. (Red or Blue) https://www.tabc.texas.gov/texas-alcohol-laws-regulations/sign-requirements/ Whether you are licensed to only sell beer/wine or licensed to sell beer/wine/ & mixed-drinks is determined by your license type. There are a bunch of license types issued by TABC. https://www.tabc.texas.gov/services/tabc-licenses-permits/tabc-license-permit-types/ Looking at Chapman & Kirby's license types they are an "MB" as designated in their license number. "MB950122" "MB" is a Mixed Beverages Permit - Allows the holder to sell mixed beverages from unsealed containers and wine, beer, ale and malt liquor in containers of any legal size for consumption on the premises. They also have a "LB" and a "PE" permit. "LB" is a mixed drink late hours permit - Allows Mixed Beverage (MB and RM) permitees to sell mixed beverages between midnight and 2 a.m. According to TABC they are an MB/LB permit holder who derives less than 50% of their revenue from the sale of alcohol (although I suspect arfcom will help them pump up those rookie numbers) therefore they are a "Blue" sign and not subject to licensed carry restrictions. My guess is that they may have very well been a 51% establishment in the past and it appear that 3006.com listed them a Red/51% sign back in 2018. Since COVID most 51% establishments have done basically everything they could to become "not bars" so that they could open as a "restaurant" (vs. being a closed as a bar during lockdown). They may still potentially have the old Red Gun Sign up on the wall, but according to the TABC database they are not legally a 51% establishment right now even though they can sell mixed drinks. Hope this helps. |

Thank jbn. I've never tried to decode all the letters. The upshot is we can carry as long as we don't become "intoxicated". The state doesn't want us reenacting an Arab wedding.

Depending on work, I plan to attend the meet/great and camping at the ranch on my way back to Fort Worth. I got my NRA passes in the mail today for their event.
Other than my own camp gear, what should I plan to bring to the ranch? Thanks! |

I donated and I will try to make the party. I miss the store in Canton. Keep raising hell till He is gone.

I assume that all of those attending the nraam will stand up immediately after the general membership meeting starts and continuously shout, "wayne lapierre must resign now!" and not allow the meeting to take place?
Or will they sit there like lemurs..... |

The invite says anyone is welcome, so I'll plan on attending, but be forewarned:
- I haven't denounced the NRA - I've gotten my picture taken with Wayne at two different conventions - I haven't been fun at parties since I stopped drinking in 1995, and I probably wasn't actually any fun even when I did drink - I'm not a paid member here - I have a Taurus Judge in my gun collection - My only Glock is so old, I don't think it is even a first generation - Most of my ammo was purchased from Wal-Mart - Most of my guns were purchased from Gander Mountain - My first AR-15 was a Bushmaster - I only have two AR-15's - I'm from Michigan - I'm not rich - I'm not over 6' tall - My wife is not a current or former Victoria's Secret Angel - I don't own any night vision - I never served in the military - I've carried a flashlight in my pocket every day longer than I can remember |

Seeing my t-shirt guy tomorrow, I hope. What should the t-shirts say?
1) 2) I heart NY 3) Board Members have no insurance 4) My NRA dues support cats in Florida 5) Wayne will cost us Whittington 6) The Museum is being looted Any other suggestions? Worst case scenario we just wear white t-shirts w/ magic marker, but even that will be more effective if we all wear the same color shirt w/ the same slogan. https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/2479619_Amended-complaint-shows-depth-of-problems-at-the-NRA.html |

Onto the Mesquite Rodeo gun show, followed by 5:30 PM - Soulman's BBQ in Mesquite - backbencher, BIgDAM, & perhaps tacton. Everyone is welcome. |

A different hobby forum I used to frequent - which of course was nothing like the tribe here on arfcom - used to have regular regional, informal “pub club” get togethers.

Talked to the t-shirt man today, he can turn shirts around quick.
Think likely price will be around $20, the more shirts I can buy doubtless the lower the price. If I can place an order by the 25th, that would give us plenty of time. What shall our slogan be? 1) Death to Quislings 2) The Board has No Insurance 3) I (heart) NY Attorney General 4) Wayne will cost us Whittington 5) Why isn't the Museum open? 6) 7) My NRA dues are cat food I would pick up the shirts Thursday, and arrive Friday afternoon/evening. Give me your preferred slogan & preferred size. |

Is this Party still on in the event the NRA cancels its Annual Meeting in Houston that weekend?
Seems it may be getting closer and closer to happening, as large names are withdrawing and now many smaller industry players are seriously contemplating doing the same... The NRA Convention is Threatened Again as Many of the Largest Industry Exhibitors Pull Out |

I'm thinking about not going, too. I went to Tucson for the meeting last year and it was just banging my head against the wall. The WLP crowd is too powerful. They're rich, they defend each other, and they know how to bend the rules to keep others from speaking at the annual meeting. After seeing the BOD elections reinforce the WLP crowd, why should I waste my time going to this? |
