If someone invades NYC, they have to occupy it. I think that's in some rule book somewhere.
Who would possibly want NYC? (Now, occupying Chicago and getting our colonial exploitation on to send the slaves to work in the underground pizza mines might actually make sense. But NYC?) |

Yes, I knew in the original script, that it was to be the Red Chinese, however we had to Kow-tow to our new Financial Over Lords and change it to the Norks. Might as well have been Zimbabwians (except that then we would be most Un-P.C. in shooting at "people of color"...)

What type of idiot writer thinks a Texan successionist insurgent leader would decide to occupy fucking Bushwick, home of slum tenements and gentrified hipster neighborhoods? A nitwit who got this movie green lit when all of Hollywood were 100% sure Hillary and the Dems would control the federal govt. Whoops, they were wrong on that too.
The real version for forcing acceptance to multi state succession would probably be more less entertaining to libs or NYC residents in movie version. Shit, my imagination isn't best as his as some screenwriters but I'm thinking it would be an occupation but lots of pinprick attacks against major logistic bottlenecks, done by some truly ruthless Ex-JSOC led cells going about fucking up power stations, water lines, ports, bridges/tunnels, roads, etc. They wouldn't even need to announce their presense, just toss shoes into cogs until the whole machine sparks and shuts down. At best an overburdened FBI, NYPD, NY State Police and National Guard, maybe active troops until martial law end up dumping multi billions of dollars and net result is that they captute/kill minority of cells while driving them out of NYC where those same terrorists take R&R and then do it in Chicago or Detroit or Baltimore. Hell, every Iraq vet knows what I'm talking about. Whack a mole. |
