AN124s were in and out of Charleston a time or two a week a handful of years back carrying our MRAPS to our troops.

White tanker could have been Omega. They are a private company that tanks Navy fighters all the time.
You really only have 4 choices of fighters - Vipers, Hornets, Eagles and Raptors....no idea which they were? |

I guess it could have been an IL-76 tanking some international jets heading to Nellis for something. Maybe tanking Indian Flankers or French Rafales.
Off the info so far, Id lean more toward that as all US tankers are dark AF gray. At least that I know of.... |

My parents place always has planes flying overhead. Usually at least 8 can be counted at all times.
I did see 2 big passenger jets in line once. Close enough that the only thing I could think was Air Force 1 and 2. Probably 7-8 years ago, I saw these bad boys booking it over their place.

Her place was out in the rolling wheat hills at the end of a private road. Flyovers from Fairchild AFB were common, along with unexpected sonic booms. Most of that was at the tail end of the cold war right before USSR broke up. One day I was at the edge of the property playing in the dirt, when I heard a hissing noise and looked up. About a mile down the road a pair of jets (don't remember what, probably F15/F16) just popped over one of the hills, and they both came screaming right at me. They passed over low enough that I could see just about every marking and mechanism on the bottom of the jets, then just after they passed over the sound practically knocked me over. I won't ever forget that sound... The ccccccccchhhhhhHHH-BHHHHHHMMMMMM. It probably took a long time to wipe the grin off my face. |
