After the backlogging that I did earlier (18APR2021), I was able to get out for a run.

Quoted: We're gonna be neck and neck through this whole thing it seems. We've been right there within a mile or 2 of each other for quite a while View Quote I am trying to keep myself a little more in check this year. Last year I got involved in the Great American 5000K, a virtual team (12 or 24) person race from San Fran to NYC and ended up with the 5 highest mileage weeks I've ever run, consecutively. I also didn't have a lot of other exercise modes available last summer. I got a rack and weights around Halloween and a rower a month ago, so I am trying to limit my running goals to 1000 miles or a stretch goal of 2021K (thanks for nothing Garmin challenges) Back in this years 5000K which started 2 months earlier (9 days ago) so I may get caught up in mileage, but trying to stay sane. |

View Quote I always ride the line between moderation and sanity. I'm current feeling people out to be pacers for a 100 miler in December, while trying to talk myself out of it. I'm already signed up for the 50 miler, so what's double the mileage right? |

Prob not going to do that again. Also, I'm old (53). |

Quoted: Already? Nice work. How many pairs of shoes do you go through a year? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: 11.1 + 3.25 / 1,009 Already? Nice work. How many pairs of shoes do you go through a year? Thanks, guys! On average I probably go through at least 8 pairs of shoes per year. Likely 6 or 7 for easy miles, and 1 or 2 for workouts. Race-specific shoes last long enough that I probably won't replace them unless I have money burning a hole in my pocket for whatever the new fancy race shoe is. 11.1 + 3.3 / 1,023 |

Gotta brag. Strava corrected my run for GPS drift and I got my segment results. It's not much, just a half mile segment. But it represents almost a full minute's time shaved off since I really started trying to get the segment. |
