I have a S&W model 27 with a serial number that places it in the 1950s manufacturing range. I believe it pre-dates the “dash” naming scheme later adopted. It has the beautiful knurled top strap that extends from the rear sight all the way to the front. It is pinned and recessed as well. 6 1/2" Barrel with blued finish. The gun was carried by an officer back when these were duty weapons, but was shot little. It bears a little holster wear near the muzzle and a bit on the edges of the cylinder, but the finish is otherwise in good shape. Lockup is very solid, and there is no hammer push off. It is in perfect firing condition. Comes with original box, original grips which sadly have a gouge in them, Black Hogue grips, as well as brand new custom altamont rosewood laser engraved grips in the square butt target style. Can also include a nylon holster. Seen these sell anywhere from $2200 in perfect shape. Given the condition and goodies thrown in, I would say $1600 shipped is fair, but Price is negotiable.
