So I passed this by tenewel for advice. Both he & I agreed to keep the Tom foolery to a minimum this was the correct EE forum. Full disclosure I also have this on consignment at a friend's shop.
Nothing says "stay off my lawn quite like a 6 Pounder!!!"
She is a M1841 6 Pounder but is also a bit of a mystery. Please understand I have very little other than what is listed below. Any additional info would be gladly appreciated. I pulled info from some folks claiming some credibility as well as an expert with some more solid references. The man whom I credit as the main point of reference is also a artillery reenactor from the Kennerdale area. From what we are told a lot of the parts are original. The barrel has been sleeved 2.25" by Hern (estimated mid-last century) to make it safe to shoot. A Red Bull can is 2.25". We also borrowed a mold and are planning on casting a few balls for the purchase.
I have the main body of cannon and limber with all the accessories shown in the photos below. The limber has all the load data for field use. The wood has been mostly replaced and is not original. The best we know is that it was used most recently for personal use by an older couple and when he passed I purchased it but unfortunately it's past was lost with him. The first picture is the entire setup and the limber is not in storage to save space. I have also applied black paint to the iron to reduce further rusting as seen in the subsequent photos. Please IM with any questions.
The price listed below is certified funds only and you are responsible for arranging shipping as necessary. Part of the paid price will be paid to the shop owner by me to get it out of his shop as it needs to be disassembled for removal.
Asking $9500 OBRO certified funds or cash on inspection only funds to clear prior to pick up. Inspection can be done in person with prior arrangements.
EDIT: Iron not bronze
