I'd like to shoot my Model 10 in SSR occasionally.  I mostly shoot and prefer USPSA/Outlaw matches, so this would be just to do something different (and so I can avoid the dumb IDPA reloading rules) when I shoot the occasional IDPA match, so I'm looking to keep it simple and affordable.

What I'm thinking so far:

Comp Tac K frame holster.
Safariland Comp3s.

Looking for a recommendation on speedloader holsters, or if anyone has a reason to not use the gear I'm already thinking about, I'm all ears.

I'm also all ears for any tips on stage planning for a 6 shot revolver other than "practice relaoding....a lot".

There are several good options out there... I use comp 3's and my holster and speedloader pouches were made by Master Tac (you can find them on facebook). The gear fits well and I have been very happy with it.

Another thing to get is a loading block.... you can find them on Brownells... Safariland makes them... you load you your shells then you can just put your speedloader on top and you're off and running.

Stage planning... remember to count to 6....... ;)

I bought a little tool box at Lowe's that the loading block fits in to take from pit to pit. Very good advice.

I like ready tac a lot for revolver work.  Great stuff, low profile, very good fit and finish.  Highly endorsed.

@S391

Is that the 686 SSR?

I’m back and forth with getting that, the 3” 686+, or the 2.75” 66-8 and using them as a GP revolver and USPSA or similar if I can find something in my area.

Yes, it is a 686SSR. I had it tuned by Clark Custom and I love it.... handles like a K frame.

If you are going to run those Comp III loaders you need to look up how to cut them down to make them competitive. Sub 2 second shot to shot speedloader reloads are possible but not with stock CompIII's
I think Bob at http://www.4wheelguns.com/ offers a service to cut them down if you don't do it.
