New to the Steyr AUG. Recently traded a Thompson for the AUG and trying to figure out the color. I looked online and see the options of Mud NATO and Green NATO but this one doesn't seem dark enough for the green and when I put the tan ACOG on it definitely isn't tan. Was/Is there a other colors not listed or do the colors vary?

I guess they changed the blend for the OD since mine from the 90s is a lot darker.

A quick trick to I’ve found to ID the color is by looking at the trigger and mag release color..
OD stock usually have OD trigger and mag release.. tan, mud white etc stock will have black trigger and mag release..

Not sure if things have changed with current production guns

Depending on the lighting the AUG OD green tends to look mud'ish in pictures.

My AUG is the same color OP, get an OD green Glock to match that Austrian goodness.

Edit:  I believe the difference is that we have the A1 version (much more recent model) with a modern rail on top, the darker ones are the traditional tops.
