Jesus Christ I know the rules are rules, but the guy has been sharing it's development for months and it has a ton of great tech information. At a max it could have been locked instead of nuked to retain the tech info. I understand ARFCOM wants their money but how about supporting a new small business at least give him until he's shipping product before you tax him. Oh well between the new site and nukes like these I guess I'll be spending more time on X instead. |

The Lima 6 thread NEEDS to come back! Lots of good information in it! Edit: its even gone from my subscription list. Why not just lock it if there is an issue with it so all the shared information is retained?!? |

This might be what ends my membership renewals. I checked that thread nearly every day excited to see what folks had achieved. GD isnt even qualified to be called a shadow of its former self and while the tech forums have slowed down there were absolute gems like that thread. I never thought I would have to source my firearm info somewhere else but seems to be tracking in that direction. I don't have words for my level of disappointment right now. |

FWIW, there is live thread on UZItalk.com. https://www.uzitalk.com/forums/index.php?threads/lima-six.101259/ Harvey from Lima6 is also posting in there. I have never seen Uzitalk ban a thread like this. If anything, they ask people to put an ad in the ad section which is free. |

I moved it for now for 2 reasons. 1. it went from discussing a new invention, product to taking orders for one. 2.It was in a tech forum..which advertising isn't allowed regardless if you are a dealer or not. When a discussion goes from look at what I'm working on to taking orders for one it crosses a line. Letting someone advertise for free isn't fair to those that pay to advertise here. The op has been asked to contact Sak_253 regarding advertising. |

In Harvey's defense, he didn't post on here asking for money. He posted for sign-ups to his waitlist/newsletter and the pre-order signups only went out in emails to specific people. No links to open order pages or anything. That thread was 95% tech discussion and a few people asking what the price would be when it comes out. All the order discussion was carried out by prospective customers, not OP. Way more tech talk than some other sections that are completely FLOODED with paid advertisers(even though there is an EE). Just doesn't make much sense. |

I would think if you had paying advertisers to a site, you'd also want to ensure discussion for non-advertiser products and services because ultimately centralizing discussion of related things is an overall benefit to a site (which is a business to sell a place of discussion). |

That’s why it was “under review” and not trashed. That normally happens when adjustments and needing to be made to content, status, or such. I can't help but think what Edward would have done with this back in the day. I would wager large sums of money he'd have signed up on the interest list and been one of the first buyers of this, and shown it off in the thread, further contributing to the community in untold ways. Getting rid of a 28 page grossly tech thread doesn’t necessarily ingratiate yourselves to the developer. It’s like taking his baby hostage and then demanding ransom to get it back. It was fun while it lasted guys. I really appreciate you all! The rug was pulled before anyone attempted to have a conversation with me. One day I logged in and it was gone...and I got a PM asking for me to pay for an industry partner account to get the thread back. I would have gladly considered that if it was approached differently. I was very careful from the beginning to never discuss selling the product or linking to my website. In fact, the only thing currently for sale on my website is shirts and stickers. Like I said, you guys are amazing and we had a lot of fun in this epic thread! If you ever need me, plenty of ways to find me. |

| Regardless of the outcome I’d like to see the thread brought back. Prune off whatever the “offending” posts are and restore the thread minus the bad posts that I’ll wager someone complained about. Pretty easy to guess who that someone is. |

Yet another great decision made on ARFCOM’s part. They did this to KAC threads in the past too. At least give the thread a warning or something. To just go full psycho mode and delete a good thing in the sake of profit is lame. What’s the price and terms you guys were demanding or is there no transparency like typical tyrannical government? |
