Anyone running a small laser on their pump shotgun receiver  top rail?   I have the newest PA red dot on my mossberg 500 right now but seems like replacing it with a laser would make more sense for fast point and shoot defensive shooting. With a regular stock or Magpul stock, it seems like putting a Crimson Trace Rail Master on the rear of the receiver top rail would allow my pointer finger to activate the paddle switch easily and I can shoot from any position without having to look through a red dot

Thoughts?

A Inforce laser might be low profile enough to work off a top rail.

You might also look at the 90 degree adapter for the rail to mount the laser. It would allow you to still have some use of the top rail or sights, and still have the laser offset to the side. I use one on my KSG with good results.
