just wanted a simple sheath for my skinner to ride in while in my pack. Found some scrap kydex and some little M3 screws. I know it is a mature attempt but was super easy and fun. rides in my front pocket really nice or in my pack. Pushes off easily with my thumb. I will need to refine things but I can see making more sheaths in the future.

you don't need a super involved setup if you're only making a couple things here and there, I have made sheathes in the past using closed cell foam and boards and clamps and whatnot, but I have also made adjustments to sheathes using a folded up bath towel and placing it on the floor and standing on it for a minute or so.

You are going to laugh. This was a total spur of the moment experiment. I had left over kydex from a motorcycle project in the garage and needed a small sheath. My "press" is just two pieces of 3/4" plywood joined with a hinge. I didnt make it for this project. It is actually part of a sleeping platform for my truck. I just cut two pieces of an old memory foam mattress for the padding and smashed it all together. I had to reheat the kydex a few tries and press a few spots by hand.
