12.50''  bbl(xm177 buld)   midlength gas using 55 gr  fmj. What should the gas port size be?  It will be insurpressed.

If I recall correctly the KAK 12.5” mid-gas are ported at 0.086”.  I’d probably start at 0.078” for something with a suppressor full time.  For shooting lower powered steel case practice ammo with just a flash hider the 0.086” is probably pretty close.  If you plan on adjustable gas the bigger port is also one and done.
