Decided to give my 10 year old ZT some love. Still love the design of this knife. It was starting to show some minor surface rust to I took it completely down to clean and re-lube.

Went with xxxAdrenalinexxx hardware from Australia. And an MXG titanium clip.
I wish anodized titanium hardware was a little deeper purple. It doesn’t stand out much.

Same here. Some people hate the assisted. If so, take it out. No biggie.

But it’s a super robust carry knife. Not like anything ZT makes today.

My main beef with a lot of their offerings is the recurve edge. It ain’t a fucking kukri.

How do you even sharpen those?

I liked that knife, but moved on.  I didn't like the spring assistance, and once it was removed it just never felt right.  Maybe I'm used to the other ZT's with bearings?  The other annoying thing is Kershaw makes a similar Hinder designed knife for about $25.00 I know it's not the same quality but its similar enough for me to sell the ZT and buy the Kershaw.

Lots to like about that knife, but it just wasn't for me and I let it go.

I like your upgrades and it's always fun to give an old knife some love.  Good looking knife!

Easily my favorite knife.  Perfect size for me to EDC.

My torsion bar never broke (like many) but it doesn't have near the snap it did when new.

For $425 you can get a real Hinderer. I promise you if you were impressed by the ZT you will love a xm-18. There is nothing  wrong with the ZT at all but you would be surprised at the difference.
