Thinking off adding an Aimpoint micro to my guide gun but want to keep the standard XS ghost ring sights I have. The scout rail will allow this but I was wondering how solid they are since they mount to the rear sight dovetail and the front set of holes on the receiver?

If your guide gun is a lever action, all I can say is that I've never had a problem with my XS Scout Scope rail mounted on a Win-94 in over two decades.  It does carry a XS front and ghost ring rear sight as well, so there's that.
