The best load I have found so far with the 75g Hornday BTHP is 23.4g of 8208.

I have the new Rocky Mountain Reloading 75 grain bullet and am loading up some with the same load that worked in the Hornday. Can I assume the accuracy node with this bullet will be the same as the Hornday?

Never ASS U ME

Should be close, I'd expect.  Eagerly awaiting some feedback on these.

My experience has been it’s usually pretty close if the bullet is similar enough to in weight and shape etc

FPNI.........
It also depends on how you found your "accuracy node."
What I mean is shooting groups at 50yds won't tell you alot.

The ogive is exactly the same. Loaded 50. Will give them a try next weekend after I get my optic back.

What we really need is to get these to Molon and see what he can do. That guy (again I assume) can shoot.

I'm going to say if the bullets are identical in dimensions, then yes. If not, you might be close, but it's new load development from there.

Your current Hornady load is already hot, start lower and work up.

I scientically would have to believe common nodes would require a common general barrel configuration.

41 grains 4895 in a M1a was a common load but the barrels were generally the same length at least.  I can sub Nosler 168s for 168 SMK and not have to change a thing.   Same with AR service match rifles.  A Nosler 77 and a SMK were damn close.  Not so with the Hornady 75 match.  Ogive was different by a lot I think.

42 grains of H4350 was a common node for .260 SMK 140-142 match.

In the same barrel I think you stand a very good chance of coming close but not exact.  Varying hardness, jacketing composition, etc.

Accuracy nodes can be tricky with various changes in bullets that have the same weight and diameter. You may have to change the charge weight of powder

and oal due to internal weight distribution of the bullets. You will have to work up your load but you may be lucky to have the same loads
